• Currently sub-editor of a new veterinary exotics textbook (in progress)
• Dr Vella has delivered course material and presentations on small mammals and reptiles to veterinarians, veterinary nurses and public on small mammal and reptile veterinary subjects
• He has delivered on-line courses to veterinarians and veterinary nurses both in Australia (through the University of Sydney's Centre for Veterinary Education) and internationally (through the Veterinary Information Network)
