• Currently sub-editor of a new veterinary exotics textbook (in progress)
and co-author of a chapter in a veterinary exotics textbook

• Dr Vella has delivered course material, practical tutoring and presentations on small mammals and reptiles

• He has delivered on-line courses to veterinarians and veterinary nurses both in Australia (through the University of Sydney's Centre for Veterinary Education) and internationally (through the Veterinary Information Network)
